The Newport Experience Names New Director of Human Resources


June 10, 2021 (Newport, RI) The Newport Experience is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Bogle as the company’s new Director of Human Resources (HR).


Over the past 25 years, Kevin has served in executive level management positions for the most successful gaming operators in the country including Mohegan Sun, Empire City and Resorts World casinos. He has also worked as an Inn manager for Spicer’s Mansion, a Relais and Chateaux property in Mystic, CT.

Kevin started his career in Business Development at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City upon graduating from The College of New Jersey. After obtaining his Master’s Degree in Communications from Rowan University, Kevin successfully opened his first casino as a human resources executive in New Orleans. This led to three additional casino openings including Mohegan Sun, Empire City (NY) and Resorts World New York City.


Kevin spent ten years at Mohegan Sun as the Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, he oversaw the hiring, international recruiting, licensing, training and development, compensation and benefits, wardrobe and employee services departments. After overseeing Mohegan Sun’s massive expansion, he eventually moved to New York City to oversee these same areas in addition to union negotiations and management responsibilities for another ten years.


Throughout his career, Bogle has initiated many human resources strategic plans including international and domestic recruiting, HRIS selection and implementation, benefits administration, compensation programs, executive team development, customer service and employee training initiatives. He has received his Senior Certified Professional Certification from The Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). He has also served as chairperson for several United Way and similar fundraising organizations.


Kevin currently resides in Mystic, CT with his wife, Becky and daughter, Mallory. His oldest daughter, Devin, graduated from Loyola University and is preparing to attend graduate school, while working as a social media consultant. He enjoys spending his free time golfing, biking and boating near his house on the Mystic River.
